Artist Statement
I work in the space between representational and abstract painting and drawing. Using something reletivaly familiar or recognizable to draw one in and then hold the viewer there, suspended in a place without answers or easy resolve. The work presents opposites that exist and coexist — familiar and unfamiliar, mundane and special, chaos and calm. Basically summed up as: and, and/or, or. A place where I like to spend time and hope to bring the viewer along.
