Artist Statement
Working primarily in oils, my work explores the natural environment and interior spaces through hyper-focusing on specific objects with personal emotional or narrative significance. I examine each object through intense, isolating detail which when set together creates a patchwork of specific memories. Drawing from imagination, memory, and photo references, these scenes are manipulated to exist between the surreal and tangible.
