Artist Statement

Enter a land of curious miniatures inhabited by colorful beetles and their myriad treasures. The Beetle's Dilemma creates tiny, imagined worlds encased in glass domes. Each unique piece imagines a fantastic version of insect life, with beetles visiting the Museum of the Anthropocene, sewing a gift for a friend, or collecting humans to add to their collection of curiosities. Visions of the apocalypse or the just world beneath our feet? It’s up to you to decide…
