Artist Statement
Scott Miller, working under the name Tucker Ludlow, is a Brooklyn-based maker whose artistic practice spans painting, sculpture, photography, and moving image. With a focus on gouache and ink, Scott explores the liminal spaces that exist in-between—those moments that are both alongside and apart from one another. In their work, Scott delves into the complexities of identity, navigating the split between mind and body. They engage with themes of duality, capturing the friction of being both witness and participant in the quest for wholeness and belonging. This exploration blurs the binary, inviting viewers to reflect on the delicate balance of existence. In addition to their visual art, Scott is a cinematographer in independent narrative cinema, with projects showcased at festivals such as Sundance and SXSW. More of their cinematography can be found at www.scottmillerdop.com. Additionally, some of their music is available at soundcloud.com/tuckerludlow. www.tuckerludlow.com www.scottmillerdop.com
