Artist Statement

Robert Egert is a painter whose work mines ideas and images that span antiquity to the present day. His process involves a combination of research and spontaneity around themes that include rhizomes, fracking, Pan, architecture, the Lorelei, Russian cinema, modernism, software design and forestry.
