Artist Statement
I make tactile paintings that reflect on aspects of our messy world, and its impact on my interior feeling. My work draws heavy inspiration from Iranian visual influences, which I see as richly expressive and globally interconnected. In my small Greenpoint studio, I am currently revisiting symbols that have recurred in my oeuvre, and I am intuiting my way through an artistic transition.
