Artist Statement

My name is Maggie Beckett, I'm a multidisciplinary artist and painted based in Greenpoint. I have evolved my practice many times throughout the years, but with my first step into full time artistry in 2020 when I began painting interior murals in homes and offices. Recently, I have pared down some mural work to explore a new practice in hand painted designs and illustrations for stationery, with a large focus in NYC Iconography and floral motifs. I create custom wedding designs and greeting cards which I sell in boutiques all over the country. I also host events and workshops in my studio in an effort to connect with the local community and help other find a way to connect to their creativity.
