Artist Statement

Maegan Dolan is exhibiting several oil paintings from her “Rockers” series, along with mixed media collages. About the collages, she states: “Guided by liminal impulses, a story begins to unravel as form and symbol converge upon the surface. The collaged images are photographed and blown up to allow for further manipulation.” Chris Carroll is presenting a group of photographs titled “Seasons,” photographs of the East River from a bygone time. As well as several paintings from his Sasquatch series—a body of work created from photographs taken during the filming of Sasquatch Sunset. "There are those who believe in Sasquatch, and those who do not." The two artist also collaborated on four collages for this exhibition.
