Artist Statement

I am an oil painter and mixed media artist. In my work, I am most drawn to the mundane scenes that go unnoticed in our day-to-day lives. While I am comfortable working in all mediums, my current focus is on creating candid oil portraits that show people in their most intimate and familiar spaces. We so often choose to commemorate the more fantastic and exciting moments of our lives and neglect the quiet beauty in our everyday. I am particularly passionate about capturing the comfort we find in our homes and the quiet moments we share with our loved ones. By choosing to focus on these scenes, I hope to inspire viewers to take a closer look at their own spaces and the relationships that sustain them.
