Artist Statement

Lisa Ludwig is a Brooklyn-based artist and the founder of The Art Neighborhood. As an interdisciplinary artist, she creates works that blend the traditions of assemblage and participatory art. Lisa is recognized for her video art, installations, and cardboard relief sculptures that document the changes in Williamsburg, paying tribute to the buildings and institutions that have disappeared over time. Her artwork has been exhibited at notable venues such as the Brooklyn Museum, the Children’s Museum of the Arts, and the Brooklyn Reliquary, among others. Currently, she is developing a new series that focuses on breaking barriers.
