Artist Statement
Linnea Bast (AKA Linnea Botanicals) is a biophilic artist born out of founder Beatrice Linnea Bast’s desire to connect people to the natural world by bringing the outside in. Linnea believes that adding more greenery into our lives makes us happier and more connected to the natural world. Linnea holds a BFA from the University of Michigan, a Permaculture Design Certificate from Urban Permaculture Institute of San Francisco, and has studied Ornamental Horticulture at the City College of San Francisco and the New York Botanical Garden. When not dreaming up the next moss installation, Linnea can be found working on her watercolor botanical stationery that will be available for the show!
