Artist Statement
Through geometric forms bound to a system of constraints, my paintings function as isolated ecologies within which forms emerge out of and disappear into. Formal qualities and material handling amplify or obfuscate the forms’ legibility and complicate their presence within the compositional space. Investigating the familiar and unfamiliar, the paintings exist tensely between the tangible and intangible.
