Artist Statement

I consider my work to be folk art in its expression of daily life and emotion and use of materials sources directly from the place where the art is created. From discarded magazines, shredded office paper, recycled newspapers, to fallen leaves, it’s all pretty scrappy. Collage expresses the complex mix of influence and experience that makes people who they are. Every little piece is part of a bigger picture.
