Artist Statement

I am an artist working between painting and sculpture, creating what I call freestanding paintings. These works extend line into space, turning drawing into structure and allowing the body to encounter painting as something physical, not just visual. Influenced by Henri Matisse and Keith Haring, as well as ancient visual languages, I use continuous line to describe figures, architecture, and memory without breaking its flow. The work balances positive and negative space, leaving room for the viewer to complete what is suggested. At its core, my practice is about creating moments of awareness, where a simple interaction or pause becomes an exchange between the viewer and the work.
