Artist Statement

My work reflects my interest in the idea of souvenir, and an ambition to make artworks that feel deeply connected to the places that they represent. Drawing from training in traditional landscape painting, I make both paintings and textiles that embody essential qualities of the American landscape, depicted with equal parts awe, respect, and humor.
