Artist Statement
I make large mult-layered oil paintings that depict urban and natural landscapes, and combinations of both. I concentrate on landmarks and places that have a deep cultural resonance and my works are portraits that attempt to capture their inner essence through the use of heightened color, lush painterly surfaces and artistic liberties.
