Artist Statement
Jeff Harris is an award winning visual storyteller known for his creativity, wit and feel for light and people. Studying filmmaking at NYU, Jeff learned the importance of narrative, story and character (as well as a bit of filmmaking). He honed his craft across the photographic spectrum shooting for scores of clients, from Vogue, Vanity Fair and T Magazine, to Neiman Marcus, Under Armour and Corona. His love of movies, costumes and Halloween led him to his passion of creating original images for films and theater. Whether performers, directors, writers, neighbors, friends, or strangers, Jeff strives to hear their stories and translate them to the photograph. He recently created the key art for the feature films, Terrifier 2, The Zombie Wedding, Night of Violence and The Tannery. A lifelong New Yorker, Jeff lives in Brooklyn with his wife, their teenage, filmmaker son, and cats Carlos and Pablo.
