Artist Statement

Working across painting, drawing, printmaking, and textiles, I make collages and soft sculptures that cycle through media. A hand-drawn quilt square becomes a RISO print on handmade paper, becomes a sewn textile, and back again. I use the risograph, an outdated duplicator once found in school offices and church basements, as a tool for collapsing the distance between the handmade and the mechanical. I revel in the moments of glitch, where perfect replications break down, introducing happy accidents and irregularities. The resulting works are dense with pattern and hyper-saturated color—familiar shapes from domestic interiors, vintage wallpapers, and ornamental architecture, flipped and reconfigured until they're something stranger.
