Artist Statement

I am a painter, primarily landscape, my latest obsession trees. I also, print a lot of monotypes. This landscape work I do when home in Brooklyn and away in the woods explores my relationship to place and time. To memory. But lately I feel it is evolving from the autobiographical and expanding to broader things because the work is touching on nature and climate and humanity’s relationship to it. The other work I do is illustration. I create whimsical, silly and serious animals with pencil and watercolor. Come check out my cards for sale.
