Artist Statement

Second Psyche is a furniture and houseware brand created by Brooklyn-based artist Holland Meyer. In this evolving body of work, she explores the interplay between natural beauty and the bizarre—where elegance meets distortion, and function meets dream logic. Emerging from a dialogue between organic form and subconscious gesture each piece—whether a mirror, vessel, or sculptural seat—carries within it a surreal tension. Each piece is hand-built with attention to fluidity and erosion, echoing the ways identity is formed: layered, weathered, and reassembled. Second Psyche offers portals rather than products—objects that ask to be felt as much as used. They are invitations to reimagine the familiar, and to find beauty in weirdness.
