Artist Statement
Fanny Spång (she/her, b. 1988) is a Swedish artist based in Berlin. She works within a multidisciplinary practice with visual expressions through sculpture, installation, and animation. In her artistic practice, she explores organic structures through a twisted, abstracted, and detailed surrealism. With a fascination for nature and science, her work revolves around interdisciplinary subjects such as superorganisms, collective consciousness, and the experience of time, depicted in artificial materials.
