Artist Statement
I draw imaginary maps and spaces using “rules” informed by geographic experience as well as the unexpected connections between maps and biological systems. I work in various media: predominantly pen and watercolor drawings, but also amorphous site-specific fiber art installations, maplike AR experiences and abstract animation. I'm unceasingly inspired by the aesthetic similarity between maps and other networks in the world such as neurons and tree branches, and my work is the evolving result of that ongoing research.
