Artist Statement
Dusty Rose is a vintage clothing operation by trade, but since opening it's doors to the public has become a community space hosting workshops, art shows and all sorts of other events with members of our community. This year we host Sara Kingsland and Tara Douglass. Sara, owner of Kingsland Printing, works across several mediums including printing, painting, dyeing, and ceramics. Tara, owner of Brooklyn plant studio works with plant design and creates ceramic pieces with a nod to the nature she surrounds herself with. They have created a site-specific installation focusing on the interplay of images created in one fashion yet represented in another.
