Artist Statement
BIO/Statement: Christopher Bruneaux is a 33-year-old self-taught painter. Hailing from the great North Country of Upstate New York, Christopher now resides in a bunker in Greenpoint/Brooklyn, NY where he distils the unconscious and life's absurdities into gestural, poetic, expressive, and brutish paintings. Christopher has only been painting for two and half years, but has been involved with artistic endeavors through either music or poetry for the majority of his life. His ambition as a painter is like many other outsider artists, to constantly begin again at zero, to be free. Free is good.
