Artist Statement

Christina Howard is a ceramic artist and instructor creating contemporary functional forms & figurative sculpture that explore mysticism & esoterica. Often drawing inspiration from antiquity, occult texts and daily surroundings, her work strives to channel etheric dimensions beyond the physical senses. Guided by an interest in theosophical symbology, each form is hand sculpted in reverence to a universal sacred language that serves to act as ritual object; connecting viewers to inner divinatory realms.
