Artist Statement

Through paintings, sculptures, installations and printed works, I pull directly from the environment by which I am surrounded. Drawing from contemporary imagery, small found objects and ephemera of the every day, I create facsimiles of signifiers of value and worth to utilize within sculptures and installations. I strive to act as an archeologist within my own studio practice and command a self-driven explanation from the images or objects I find and create.
