Artist Statement

Join us for participatory weaving. The event will take place 12–6pm on Saturday, May 30th at McGolrick Park. All are welcome. Materials will be provided. Rain date: Sunday, May 31st, 12-6pm _________________________________________________ “Interwoven” is an outdoor participatory weaving project inviting partcipants to contribute a T-shirt or garment to a shared textile. Garments will be cut into strips and woven into an evolving structure, where individual stories become part of a collective expression of memory, connection, and belonging. As a durational installation, the work expands across space and time, recording each contribution as a layer of presence. Open and ever- changing, it becomes a living archive of interdependence—a visible reflection of how community is formed.
