Artist Statement
I create tiny worlds that explore the intersection of the natural and human realms. For the better part of a decade, I have been making miniature dioramas with insects, creatures that have fascinated me for my whole life. Using dried flowers, moss, crystals, little lost treasures, and an array of beautiful beetle specimens carefully positioned and pinned in place, these meticulously constructed dioramas invite us to ponder the lives and ambitions of insects as well as our own aspirations and desires.
