Artist Statement
Amber Maykut is a taxidermy and entomology artist with formal training, schooled and certified in mammal and bird taxidermy. She's interned at American Museum of Natural History’s fabrication department, and has been featured in the Guardian, VICE, National Geographic, Business Insider, and dozens more. Her studio, Brooklyn Taxidermy, teaches taxidermy and entomology classes every Saturday, in an effort to grow the taxidermy community through education and ethical practices.
