Artist Statement

Worn by downtown artists, musicians and club kids for for over 50 years, #AlexStreeter opened one of the first stores in soho in 1971. Alex’s carvings are known for their fusion of surrealism, the natural world and the occult. A prolific artist, Alex Streeter’s complete collection contains over 1,000 unique carvings as well as various large-scale sculptures. Today he is most famous for his signature piece – the cult classic #AngelHeartRing. Alex's jewelry has been worn by Axl Rose, Post Malone, Jimmy Page, Madonna, David Bowie, Debbie Harry, Keith Richards, Jonathan Davis, Kristen Stewart, Joni Mitchell, Aaliyah, Steven Tyler, Hyde of l’Arc en Ciel and many more around the world. Now joined by his daughter @Lilystreeternyc who has added her own work to the collection, the family business has operated out of New York City for over 50 years and still casts all pieces locally in the Diamond District of Manhattan.
