Artist Statement

Suki Winters is a mixed media artist, with a loose focus on oil paintings and pen and ink drawings. Her work is playful, sometimes sad, always insisting. She drawn to painting semi self-portraits, avatars of herself with a slight warp. She graduated from Scripps College with a Humanties major and an Art minor. As a preschool teacher, she pulls inspiration and energy from the boundless minds of the children-colleagues she works with.
