Artist Statement

I am curious about what human beings are capable of, what we choose to focus on, and what haunts us throughout our days. There is a constant push and pull of potential and decay within and around each of us and my art strives to make visual documents of this human process. The current work is large scale drawings on paper made with graphite pencil and oil paint. These two elements interact in a way that allows me to add line and color together in a continuous give and take, up until the very end of the piece.
