Artist Statement
My drawings and paintings are mostly from imagination, with influence from art history and a lot of anatomical knowledge. Images of human figures and sometimes animals convey their inner life through the way the are posed. Their themes involve awe, struggle, strength, strangeness and sexuality. I'd like to have a conversation about the overlap between relatable and iconic.
