Artist Statement
Emily Parsons (b. 1990) is a visual artist in Brooklyn, New York. She began her career working as an art director for magazines and media companies including The New Yorker, NYT, and Condé Nast. Because of that genesis, her work takes on an illustrative feel as she explores contemporary portraiture through the use of color, texture, and mark making.
