Artist Statement
In both my personal and advertising work I aim to tell stories and investigate the nature of objects, people, characters and ideas through staging, light and composition. My still life constructions of found objects and detritus share characteristics of my studio photographs of flowers and plants: each are rendered in detail, often larger than life, with an emphasis on their ephemeral nature. My portrait and movie still work is often informed by similar explorations of life's transitory nature. This has (happily) led to my still photography work on horror films.
