Artist Statement
A special site-specific installation, In Work We Trust | Chamo, Que Hiciste con el Carro! by Alejandro Contreras. To announce our newest space, Contreras will transform the annexed industrial space, currently housing a water tower original to the factory, into a sculptural landscape portal that fuses together the past and present while reimagining the future. He will also incorporate his own broken down Jeep into the installation, dismantling and cutting away at both site and machine in order to merge the pieces into a new ephemeral monument celebrating their mutual decay.
