Artist Statement
Eyre Ceramics was founded in 2018 by Marleena Eyre, a Brooklyn-based artist, who specialized in Ceramics at Lakeside School and the University of Miami. Her use of glazing and clay marbling techniques lend an organic quality to each piece, influenced by contemporary ceramics rooted in tradition. In addition to hand building vessels, she creates functional pieces thrown on the wheel to complement her background in the food industry.
