Artist Statement

Miranda Louise Nichols is an illustrator and mixed media artist whose work explores the absurd in the everyday, and the human compulsion to synthesize meaning and narrative from the solitary experience of life. Equal parts joyful and melancholic. Primarily gouache, acrylic and collage on paper, supplemented by sculpture, costume and animation/puppetry.
