Artist Statement

Victor Perez is an artist originally from Orlando, Florida. In his colorful and disquieting paintings, Perez explores psychological states repressed beneath shiny exteriors. Drawing upon personal experiences, he binds childhood memories to current feelings of uncertainty, alienation, and helplessness. The work is cold yet visceral, vibrant yet withholding, and teems with humor to mask an underlying discomfort.
